My blogging idea came from Milwaukee, Wisconsin when I saw this cute shack on the corner of E North Avenue and N. Oakland Avenue. While they had plenty of options ranging from Bagels & Muffins to Sloppy Joes and Hot Dogs, I came for one thing: their famous mini donuts.

Sprinkled with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar or both, these mini donuts are made fresh to order, so prepare yourself for the the delicious treat of a smell before you even taste them!

Now for an extra $1 you get to choose a dipping sauce (raspberry, caramel, chocolate or strawberry). Like the chocolaholic that I am, I had to try their chocolate dipping sauce with my mini donuts. Needless to say, for my first time at this place I was impressed. The dough was on point. The mixture of cinnamon and powder sugar was a great ratio for the fresh donuts. Unfortunately, the chocolate sauce was just okay. I think the sauce ruins the overall fresh quality of the donut, so I would emit buying it next time, but hey...I had to try it!!

Overall, if you are in Milwaukee, you definitely should try out The Drive-Thru Cafe. And hey, if you are in need of some sweets in the wee hours of the morning, they are open Sunday-Wednesday until 2 am and Thursday-Saturday until 3 am.
